Hannah + Lorenzo's Secluded Garden Estate Wedding
Hannah and Lorenzo met while working at Rowdy Ridge summer camp. Hannah recalls that "it started off as an innocent flirtation and by the end of summer, turned into something deeper. 4 years later, at that same camp, Lorenzo would propose to that same girl he met at summer camp, the love of his life, Hannah.
Our day started at this cute, artsy Air BnB near the wedding venue in Temecula. There the girls got their hair and makeup done by the wonderful Tessa Krueger and her team.
From the Air BnB, we headed over to the spectacular Secluded Garden Estates to meet up with the groomsmen and finish up with the bridesmaids' hair and makeup. But first, we had to walk around and just admire the gorgeous décor that Hannah and her friends and family had created themselves! This collage of décor lined the back of the ceremony area, where guests could sign a board with Hannah and Lorenzo's new family initial, drop off cards in a classic hard-shell suitcase, and pile up all the gifts in a rustic wheelbarrow. On top of all of that, everything you see was hand-selected by Hannah and painted in the wedding colors to provide a seamless aesthetic between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception sites, all at Secluded Garden Estates.
Up, up, up the stone steps we went to see the groomsmen and the rest of the bridesmaids. These are the same stairs that Hannah will soon walk down to see her husband for the first time on their wedding day.
Hannah designed these floral arrangements herself and they were put together by some of her family members! Such a creative family!
Hannah and Lorenzo gave each other gifts before the ceremony. Music lovers and constant concert-goers, Lorenzo gave Hannah a record player, while Hannah, ever-creative and abundantly-thoughtful, gave Lorenzo a leather-bound book of the many letters they wrote to each other along with many of their keepsakes from their years of dating.

When asked how she knew Lorenzo was the one, Hannah replied, "Lorenzo and I were long distance for about a year. It was so hard and challenging, but we made it through. Whenever I would feel discouraged about our long distance relationship, he would constantly remind me that we were worth it and it was in those moments where I knew he was the one. He was willing to fight and commit to us. We made it through that year and came out of it stronger and ready for anything."
The artistic and creative nature of this couple goes back to their very first date. Hannah recalls that "Lorenzo set up a picnic for me in his back yard. It was in the evening and he had candles lit and music playing. It was super romantic. We were sitting under this beautiful tree and staring at the moon and the stars.
Hannah was met at the bottom of the stairs by her mother and brother. And then the tears began...
After walking down the isle, Hannah and Lorenzo immediately went into a time of worship led by one of the groomsmen, Kristoffer.
And once the ceremony kicked off, it was nothing but smiles!
Secluded Garden Estates has one of the most unique and beautiful wedding ceremony sites of any venue in southern California. This wall-less house was blanketed with trees and bathed in sunlight for this joy-filled ceremony.
Hannah and Lorenzo each shared personal messages after reciting traditional vows and exchanging wedding rings.
And 5 years TO THE DAY that they started dating, they are getting married!
...and they're off!
Now that's one spectacular wedding party at one spectacular venue!
We took Hannah and Lorenzo into Secluded Garden Estate's hidden forest for a fun and romantic portrait session. I love this time, just seeing the newlyweds enjoying each other's company in privacy before the grand festivities kick-off at the reception. They get to just be with one other, and relish in the fact that, "Oh my goodness! We are actually, finally married! I love you. I love you. I love you!"
Secret: We just found that sign lying in the forest.
Not a secret: They look amazing with it.
We had SO MUCH FUN spending some time photographing these two in the forest of Secluded Garden Estates!! Every angle, every pose, every moment was so precious to photograph!
Before the wedding day, I asked Hannah what her fondest memory of Lorenzo was, and this is what she had to say:
"When he first told me he had feelings for me. I was so nervous because I had a HUGE crush on him at camp, but I didn't want to say anything because I wasn't sure how he felt. Then he just opened up with 'Hannah, I am totally crazy about you'. I was freaking out internally and probably blushing like crazy. But that was at the end of camp and that night we stayed up until like 3am talking about our pasts, our dreams, and how we were going to make this work. It was so exciting and scary all at the same time. I will never forget that night."
Just a little taste of the wonderful cocktail hour that Hannah and Lorenzo designed for their guests while we took portraits in the forest.
Hannah is officially the most creative bride. I mean, LOOK AT THIS! She's a genius!
COOLEST CAKE TOPPER EVER! As a Star Wars fan myself, I made sure to take a few (dozen) extra photos of Hannah and Lorenzo's Star Wars-themed cupcakes.
Each centerpiece was designed and created by Hannah and those around her who helped create all the décor for this charming DIY wedding. From matte-painted wine bottles wrapped in burlap, to unique framed paintings, to a wedding mad-libs for each of the guests to fill out, this wedding truly charmed my socks off!
A photo-perfect area for capturing the perfect photos to remember Hannah and Lorenzo's big day!
The "first of many dance" for these two!
Lorenzo's dance with his mother and Hannah's dance with her brother and her mother.
I asked Hannah and Lorenzo what their vision for their wedding day was, and they told me that they wanted their "wedding day to be fun and light hearted...to be a celebration of how far we have come and where we are headed."
And that is exactly what their wedding day turned out to be, a perfect representation of their love for each other, the joy that they possess for life and friendship and family, and their commitment to center their marriage from the very beginning of their wedding ceremony in God.
Congratulations Hannah and Lorenzo! May your marriage be blessed!
