Allison + Jared's SoCal Mountain Wedding
Allison & Jared chose a wedding venue that was near and dear to their hearts. The two of them met at church in their youth group. They knew each other for years before they started dating, and it was at summer camp at this special place, Thousand Pines, that they first started to like each other. Together they’ve revisited this spot many times. This space houses so many wonderful memories for these two and will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
Allison and Jared worked together to handcraft the majority of their decor. This wedding was a labor of love from start to finish.
Each detail was carefully hand-picked with a thoughtfulness that is characteristic of the pair.
Thousand Pines was not only the place where their relationship began, but also the place where Jared asked Allison to be his wife, and presented her with the gorgeous, custom designed ring below.
As they each got ready in cabins on the property, Allison shared a special moment with each of her parents.
These moments, along with the whole day, were permeated by a tangible love and joy. It was an emotional experience for all involved.
Jared told us that one of the things he is most drawn to in Allison is her loving and caring attitude towards everyone. I think each and every one of these bridesmaids would echo that sentiment.
He also finds her brown eyes, joyous personality and love for Jesus to be undeniably attractive... can you blame him?
Jared's mom and step-dad lovingly helped him get ready for his big day, ensuring that each detail of his outfit was just right.
Jared is known to those around him as one who always lends a helping hand to others in need.
Allison loves the way he loves Jesus and his handsome smile that always puts her in a good mood.
They both wanted to keep the tradition of not seeing each other until the ceremony, but they had us sneak them off to take this quiet moment to pray together for their marriage before the festivities began.
Their wedding was complete with a four-man Ring Security team, made up of cousins, who managed to stand stoically guarding the rings throughout the entirety of the emotional ceremony.
As a part of their ceremony, they braided three cords together as a symbol of their unity with each other and with Christ.
First kiss as husband and wife!!!
Allison and Jared thought of every detail. They decorative keys on each table also served as bottle openers for the toasts.
The cocktail hour included lawn games that they'd made themselves for their guests to enjoy.
For portraits, we took the bridal party to Inspiration point. It was the ideal spot, not only because of the stellar view, but because it was the spot where Jared proposed to Allison. It seemed so fitting to bring them back there as husband and wife!
The only drama you want on your wedding day is a dramatic wedding party photograph.
The couple prepared gifts and letters for each other, which they exchanged at Inspiration point.
Jared says that five words he would use to describe Allison are: Gorgeous. Kind. Loving. Caring. Joyous.
Allison's five words for Jared are: Loving. Quiet. Kind. Listener. Handsome.
In Jared's eyes, her determination and ability to get through anything, make Allison the perfect partner.
Allison sees Jared as the perfect partner because he brings out the best in her, and their strengths complement each other. She says that he helps her see the best in other when she cannot.
Then , just like that, it was time to leave the quiet of the woods and join their friends and family at a very special party!
One of their friends made all of these beautiful and delicious cupcakes!
This moment was so much fun, and led to Jared sweetly picking cake and frosting out of Allison's hair as they both laughed and laughed.
This playground, just off to the side of the reception area, was where Allison and Jared had some of their first talks about their relationship. So naturally they wanted to revisit it in the first hours of their marriage.
We stole Allison and Jared away for a few more portraits at sunset while their friends and family danced the evening away.
The bridal party had fully decked out the getaway car for their long drive down the mountain.
They sprinted off towards their honeymoon surrounded by the friends and family who got them where they are today!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Reiter! And may God bless your marriage!
