Jake + Jenna's Shaw's Cove Laguna Beach Dramatic Sunset Engagement Session

For this romantic sunset engagement session, Jake and Jenna took us back to a place that means a lot to them, the spot where Jake got down on his knee and asked Jenna to share the rest of their lives together! The striking rock formations and tide pools made this spot a new favorite beach for us. We did this shoot back in November when the wildfire was raging up in Malibu, which cast a warm orange haze over the sky, and gave the photos some extra dramatic flare.

When Jake first took Jenna to Shaw’s Cove, he led her out along the rocky outcropping and had her pose for a picture staring out at the sea. Meanwhile he got down on one knee and said, “Babe, you’ve got to take a look at this rock.” When she turned around he was holding up a gorgeous engagement ring in a sparkling geode ring box. Solid proposal + solid pun = solid couple!

We couldn’t be more excited to shoot Jake and Jenna’s wine country wedding next year. Enjoy engaged life, you two!
